Securing an investment opportunity of up to USD4 million, including co-investment from Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited (\u201cCyberport\u201d) and Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (\u201cHKSTP\u201d), the co-organizers of JUMPSTARTER 2022.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"483\" height=\"596\" src=\"https:\/\/particlex.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Product-with-App.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5418\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/particlex.com\/portfolio\/gense-technologies\/\">Gense Technologies<\/a>, a Hong Kong based startup, offers an affordable and portable self-help medical imaging device for early detection and management of some of the world\u2019s costliest liver, lung, and kidney diseases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For Justin Chan, entrepreneurship is about &#8220;making the world a better place. &#8220;It&#8217;s about getting a product out, getting a solution out that would really help the lives of people.&#8221; He&#8217;s aiming to do that with&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/particlex.com\/portfolio\/gense-technologies\/\">Gense Technologies<\/a>, which offers an affordable and portable self-help medical imaging device for the early detection and management of some of the world&#8217;s costliest liver, lung, and kidney diseases. In particular, it can be administered by users who have no substantive operational training. It&#8217;s a particularly timely invention, as the pandemic has put health and healthcare at the top of everyone&#8217;s mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"132\" height=\"178\" src=\"https:\/\/particlex.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Bio-Justin-Chan.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6233\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>As co-founding CEO, Justin is leading a team of top researchers from Stanford, Cambridge, HKU, and HKUST for clinical trials of the device. He has also led the team to win the <strong>Asia Social Innovation Award<\/strong> and various regional competitions, as well as the <strong>ICT Startup Grand Award and  ICT Startup (Hardware and Devices) Gold Award<\/strong>.  Justin received his MPhil in Finance and Economics from the University of Cambridge and bachelor\u2019s degree from the University of Warwick.
